According to the Census Bureau reported in Tuesday, September 13, 2011, the United States unemployment rate and percentage of poverty among American citizens has risen significantly—marking 2011 as the fourth year that both have increased.
This specific statistical analysis made by the Census Bureau has not been this poor since President Johnson has been in office. Not only has their been an increase in the number of Americans living under poverty and unemployment, but standards were expected to be ever more poor if it was not for the numerous benefits estimated by the National Employment Law Project.
